Cosmic Madness 2018

The contest ended at midnight on Monday and, in the end, not unlike the NCAA championship game, it wasn't a particularly close battle....

This is it! The Cosmic Madness 2018 Championship! Watchmen vs Civil War! Who will you choose?!?!?!

Going forward, we have combined all regions onto one page for easier Sweet 16 voting... you're welcome! All you have to do is pick which titles you want to win in each contest. The Sweet 16 round of voting will go from March 18-21, with the Elite 8 round kicking off on March 22.

Here you will find the DC Comics region, quite possibly the strongest overall region in the tournament. And before you have a chance to argue, let me just say this. Watchmen. Dark Knight Returns. Kingdom Come. Those three titles alone could be contenders for the championship... if they weren't in the same region of course!

Here we have the Marvel Comics region, featuring several big players! From titles that focus on one character -- like Old Man Logan, Vision, and Hawkeye -- to event books that put the entirety of the Marvel Universe in peril -- like Civil War and Secret Wars! Personally I perish the though of having to choose between Planet Hulk and Daredevil: Born Again.

Welcome to the Image Comics region! Home to some of the most critically acclaimed, fan-favorite comics in the tournament. But it's not just about Walking Dead and Saga... there's also Chew, Kill or Be Killed, Luther Strode, and Cowboy Ninja Viking in there, too, which at various times Cosmic Comix staff have referred to as the greatest comics ever!

Now, this may be the Everything Else region, but that should in no way make you think that these titles are any less important than the other tourney contenders. Exhibit A: Neil Gaiman's Sandman! Exhibit B: Maus! And they have to face each other in the first round!! But there's also Kick-Ass, Preacher, From Hell, and Planetary! These books are SERIOUS BUSINESS.
