One of the biggest days in the comic book calendar is almost upon us… Free Comic Book Day is SATURDAY, MAY 3! As you probably know, FCBD is a single day when comic book stores around the world give away specially designed comic books ABSOLUTELY FREE to anyone who comes into their shops.
This year marks the 23nd year of celebrating Free Comic Book Day – it’s always the first Saturday in May – and it has proven to be a smashing success, spreading the word that comics are terrific reading for people of all ages.
HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT!
** FREE COMICS **
The heart of Free Comic Book Day is, of course, the free comics — and this year’s selection is incredible! From superheroes to sci-fi to all-ages adventures, there’s something for every reader. We’ll have a wide variety of titles available, including special issues from Marvel, DC, Image, and more.
** STOREWIDE SALE **
To make Free Comic Book Day even more exciting, we’re offering a storewide sale — 20% OFF EVERYTHING! That’s right, for one day only, you can save big on comics, graphic novels, collectibles, toys, and more. Whether you’re filling in your collection or grabbing something new, it’s the perfect time to stock up and save.
Even if the free comics run out, the sale runs all day long from 11am - 7pm!

LOCAL ARTIST MICHAEL SMITH!
Michael Smith is an independent comic book artist/cartoonist from Maryland, and a regular here at the store. He specializes in stippling and storytelling and is the co-founder of VASH Magazine. Mike will be doing FREE SKETCHES for the kids!
