FREE COMIC BOOK DAY IS SATURDAY, MAY 5!
As you probably know, Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is a single day when comic book stores around the world give away specially designed comic books ABSOLUTELY FREE to anyone who comes into their shops.
This year marks the 17th year of celebrating Free Comic Book Day – it’s always the first Saturday in May – and it has proven to be a smashing success, spreading the word that comics are terrific reading for people of all ages.
If you’ve been to Cosmic Comix on FCBD before, you know what to expect: basically, the biggest and baddest block party around! From music to games to balloons and more! But on top of that we’ll also be having a STOREWIDE SALE!
Once again, we will have THREE ROOMS going on FCBD, all located right here in our shopping center:
- THE MAIN ROOM - 87 MELLOR AVE
This is the store you know and love! Cosmic Comix & Toys! Everything in here will be 25% OFF! Plus... POPCORN!

We call this room the Lincoln Lodge because it is absolutely jam-packed with comics, books, and action figures, all of which are JUST $5.00 EACH!

We know it's super busy that day and no one BUT NO ONE likes to stand in line. So we're adding a second register for the day! Can't guarantee there still won't be a bit of a line, but we'll be doing our best to keep it moving. Talk to your neighbor while you're waiting... they love comics, too!

Of course! It’s an annual tradition. And this year we’re supersizing the heck out of it! More information to come… every roll will still be a winner… but this year a table will simply not suffice. Just wait til you see what we have in store!
ARTIST DOING FREE SKETCHES!
From 10 am – 12 pm and from 1 – 3 pm, local artist TIM MURPHY will once again be joining us to do sketches of all kinds. Want an awesome drawing of Superman? Or Batman? Or Wolverine? This will be your chance! And guess what? IT’S TOTALLY FREE!!
NEW THIS YEAR... COSPLAYERS!
This year we will be joined by three of the area's best cosplayers: Paige Doyle, Annie Phantom, and Nico Blu Kitteh. Also known as... GOTHAM CITY SIRENS!
We'll also be breaking out the Cosmic Comix photo backdrop so you can pose with the Sirens as you would on the red carpet!

Yes, when you visit us on Free Comic Book Day you’ll receive a coupon for Peace A Pizza! The best pizza shop in Catonsville, just a couple doors down from us!

This year we can guarantee five free comics to the FIRST 1000 PEOPLE! We’ll have free comics aimed at you older readers, as well as comics for the younger readers! All you have to do is find The Free Room and you’ll find the free comics!
PARKING AT FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
Given the level of party happening here on FCBD, we just wanted to give you a few pointers on parking. First and foremost: THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING! So don't worry about that. Spots directly in front of the store will likely be at a premium, but there will be plenty across the way at Catonsville Elementary School and further down the parking lot toward Peace-A-Pizza. All we ask is, PLEASE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS.
- Don't park in front of Baltimore Brass.
- Don't park in front of Home Anthology.
- Don't park in front of The Stitching Post.
- Don't park in front of Cloverhill Yarn.
