Highlights for Wednesday, October 17: DC Comics

Leading off the week for DC Comics is surely the flagship of the New 52, Justice League #13! This issue marks the beginning of a two-part story arc in which writer Geoff Johns is joined by Tony Daniel! The two creators introduce one of the most legendary villains in DC history to the New 52: Cheetah!

• GEOFF JOHNS is joined by TONY DANIEL for a two-part chapter in the Justice League saga marching toward TRINITY WAR.
• JUSTICE LEAGUE #12 will have the world debating its shocking conclusion – and where it will lead from here!
• The League takes on a villain destined to be one of the greatest threats to the DC Universe in the year ahead – the mysterious Cheetah! But who is she? What is her connection to Wonder Woman? And how will this fundamentally change the relationships within the team?

The Batman family also has a solid line-up this week, including Batwoman #13, Red Hood and the Outlaws #13 and Nightwing #13! All have shined in recent months, and Batwoman in particular catches my eye this week as it features a team-up with Wonder Woman! Meanwhile, Red Hood has te conclusion of Starfire’s battle for the throne of Tamaran as she is reunited with her sister, Blackfire!

Over at Green Lantern New Guardians #13, the Rise of the Third Army rolls on. From what we can tell, you can expect an all-new Carol Ferris Star Sapphire!

Finally, we wanted to give a shout to DC Universe Presents #13. It’s the beginning of a new arc and the New 52 debut of two heroes – Black Lightning and Blue Devil! Written by Marc Andreyko and illustrated by Robson Rocha, this will be a five-issue arc promising a buddy story unlike no other!
