We’ll start off the Everything Else releases with Marvel Comics’ Icon imprint and Hit-Girl #3! The first two issues of the series, whose story takes place in between the two Kick-Ass volumes, were excellent. Can’t wait to see what kind of carnage is in store for us this week!
HIT-GIRL #3 (OF 5)
MARVEL COMICS/ICON
Written by Mark Millar
Art by John Romita
So many goons, so little time. Hit-Girl’s got both hands full when her sidekick Kick-Ass gets benched, leaving her to take the mafia on solo. But when her secret crime-fighting binge brings heat to the wrong guy, even Hit-Girl may be in over her head. Meanwhile, Red Mist gets sent where all rich kids go to do penance!
Next, while we’re talking about imprints of the Big Two, don’t miss American Vampire #31 from DC Comics/Vertigo! It’s a big week overall for Scott Snyder’s outstanding horror series, as you probably saw earlier that this week also sees the release of a new hardcover and trade paperback as well!
We’re also kind of curious to see how Aspen Entertainment’s Idolized #2 stacks up to the first issue, which we thought was a very well executed take on American Idol (except with superheroes) and even worthy of a post in our In Case You Missed It column!
Over at Dark Horse, there are two books worthy of mention: Angel & Faith #14 and Goon #42! Both are series we have supported proudly and continue to do so!
Finally, Rachel Rising #11 comes out this week! On top of this issue promising even more details about what is arguably the most interesting story in comics, it also features an absolutely STUNNING cover.

I definitely want to see Idolized #2 show up in my sub/box. Picked up #0 and #1 recently and hope to see where it goes before I add it to my list.
Rachel Rising really has my hopes up. With this arc winding down I’m excited to see where the story goes and what new color palate awaits after issue #12…….oh, who am I kidding. I stalk the Terry Moore site and think all of the upcoming covers are fantastic and that the 6-issue arc layout is great. Can’t praise this series enough.
