New Comics This Wednesday, September 19

Walking Dead #102We’ll give DC Comics and Zero Month the lead again this week with Justice League #0! Geoff Johns and Gary Frank’s Shazam! story, which has been backing up the main Justice League story, takes center stage in this issue! Also look for Sword of Sorcery #0, the third release in DC’s Third Wave of New 52 books, marking the return of Amethyst! Plus, Batwoman #0, Catwoman #0, Nightwing #0 and Red Hood and the Outlaws #0, making it a solid week for the Batman books, plus Wonder Woman #0 and several others!

Meanwhile, over at Marvel, we’re looking forward to Daredevil #18, a series that did very well for itself at this year’s Harvey Awards! Then there’s Avengers #30, Mighty Thor #20, Spider-Man #5 (of 5) and a double shot of Ultimate books with Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #15 and Ultimate Comics Ultimates #15, both of which fall under the Divided We Fall banner!

The biggest non-Big Two book is surely Walking Dead #102. Something to Fear concludes! Then there’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Spike #2 (of 5) and Ghost #0 from Dark Horse, Cobra #17 from IDW and much more!

Looking Forward to November: DC Comics

For the DC Comics Looking Forward column this month, we wanted to highlight the big events that DC is gonna have going in October. We counted FOUR major storylines and wanted to make sure you know all about ‘em! We’ve included checklists for all of them so you won’t miss a single issue!

The biggest one, we think, has to be "Death of the Family," which is gonna be running through the Batman books and will mark the return of the one and only Joker!
