The final installment of Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, was an epic ride. And you might have seen this ad for classic Batman stories in many of your DC Comics titles recently. Well, we’re happy to offer up the story (featured in that ad) that rocked the Batman family of titles in the spring and summer of 1993, the legendary storyline known as KNIGHTFALL! Over the course of the story, Bruce Wayne suffers burnout and is systematically assaulted and crippled by a certain supervillain named… Bane. You might know him as the man who broke Batman’s back! And he is of course featured in The Dark Knight Rises. The series has recently been collected into new and larger trade paperback volumes, with the first two already on the shelves and the third coming out this Wednesday!

Welcome to September 2012! And for DC Comics that means Zero issues and lots of ‘em. Look for numerous of the New 52 titles to come out as a #0, with each one acting as a stand-alone story, filling in holes to the characters’ stories and adding depth. This week, we’re set to get Animal Man #0, Swamp Thing #0, Action Comics #0, Detective Comics #0 and several others, along with the start of a brand new series in Phantom Stranger #0!
