Sir Lee is still on vacation! Yes, he is royalty! And I am interpreting his royal highnesses column very literally today. (Plus the post was already built AND Andy is still on vacation!) Obviously if you have read Planetary you know how good it is. But if you haven’t read Planetary, I can pretty much guarantee you that it is the BEST BOOK YOU DIDN’T (HAVEN’T) READ!
PLANETARY is arguably one of the most important titles in comic book history, and many moons ago it went down as our very first Trade Paperback Spotlight. Planetary started quietly enough, making a few ripples in DC Comics’ WildStorm Universe. But gradually the stories became more inventive, intriguing and downright awesome. This is writer Warren Ellis at his best, and John Cassaday’s artwork is superb.
