Highlights for Wednesday, August 8: DC Comics

Batman #12Hmmmm…whatcha got for me this week DC…I see some good…some excellent…and a bunch of I’m not really sures!

The Batmans!
BATMAN #12 is being billed as a Court of Owls epilogue. And here you thought we were done with the Owls. Nope. Doesn’t matter. Sure it will be excellent.
BATMAN AND ROBIN #12 is being billed as the conclusion to the Terminus story. Don’t know what you’re reading but I’m reading the Damian wants to be the greatest Robin ever story! It’s a two for one extravaganza!
BATGIRL #12 will be in battle against Batwoman tomorrow. Wanna guess who wins?
BATMAN ARKHAM UNHINGED #5 – I actually don’t read but I must say it is easily the best selling video game comic book here at the store. The truly talented read it while playing X-Box!

Suicide Squad 12The Potential Winner!
BEFORE WATCHMEN OZYMANDIAS #2 (OF 6) – Thought issue #1 was the Best Book of the Week when it came out. Andy ranked it #8 overall for the month of July. And I am ready to see what issue #2 brings us.

The Enjoyment!
SUICIDE SQUAD #12 – Always enjoy and the traitor within might just be revealed tomorrow!
RESURRECTION MAN #12 – Always enjoy and here’s hoping Resurrection Man gets killed at least a half dozen times! And if they ever kill Resurrection Man twenty times in an issue, yes, once per page, I am willing to bet you it’s the best book of the month!

The Rest! DEATHSTROKE #12, DEMON KNIGHTS #12, FRANKENSTEIN AGENT OF SHADE #12, GRIFTER #12, LEGION LOST #12, NIGHT FORCE #6 (OF 7), RAVAGERS #4 and SUPERBOY #12. I’ll read a couple of them. And hopefully I will be surprised by their awesomeness. You never know!

See ya!

  1. Andy King says:

Batgirl #12 Batgirl vs Batwoman isn’t even going to be close. Babs is going to get her butt handed to her….again. There isn’t a lot of love BG is the DC universe. She gets beat up and kidnapped as Oracle in BOP, she gets killed off in the animated Batman series, and in the New 52 she’s been a punching bag disguised as a recovering superhero, er, masked crime-fighter. I dunno, how many fights can you lose before you have your superhero card revoked?
