Green Lantern #12 did not win the poll last week. Gave it a good try. Ended up tied for second with I Vampire #9 and Hit-Girl #2. The winner was once again Wolverine and the X-Men #14. Kitty and Colossus went on a date! The field was trumped by the power of love! Okay. Maybe not. But it was an excellent issue. Don’t worry Colossus everything will be back to normal soon. Assuming being Juggernaut Colossus is back to normal. But I digress.
Who ya gonna vote for this week? I did go with Avengers vs. X-Men #9 yesterday. I hope the Cape 1969 #2 gets some votes but not too many of you read it. Hawkeye #1? It was a little odd, but also excellent. How about maybe the most consistent title on the rack, Daredevil #16? The Spiderman 50th anniversary, Peter Parker Spiderman #136.1? Brian Wood’s X-Men #33? Or is the steam-rolling Earth 2 #4 gonna run away with it again! Vote it up! – Rusty

I liked a lot of books this week, but nothing seemed to blow me away. Nice to see that Animal Man and Swamp Thing are finally doing their crossover, and I’m sure that event is going to turn out cool. But Spider-Man stepping up in AvX #9 won me over this week.
Of all the books I read this week I’d have to go with either Epic Kill or Ninjette’s. (I’m sure Rusty will chuckle or scoff at the mention of such non-mainstream books that no one reads.)
I enjoyed Epic Kill, as I have since issue #1, because of Song’s Matrix/Croutching Tiger Hidden Dragon fighting style. The trail of bodies she left behind in her pursuit of revenge is as long as the bill for all the vehicle’s she destroyed along the way. No spoilers but the end was surprising and I’m eager to see the new direction that comes from the 747 taking out a freeway. Good times, over the top action, and a good backstory. At least I liked it.
Ninjette’s was another good issue mostly because I was so frickin happy to see the annoying youngster sliced and diced by Jennifer Blood. They have finally caught up to where things were left off in Jennifer Blood and a whole new team of school-girl ninjas are ready to extort their way onto The Circuit. That method didn’t work out for the last trio despite being well connected and well funded. Can the next group pull off the impossible and track down Jennifer Blood? Can’t wait to find out.
I did read AvX and Daredevil this week as well as Earth 2 and Worlds Finest. Each was enjoyable but none stick out in my head like the two I mentioned above. However, my comic selection is fairly limited and I’m not quite the connoisseur of fine comics as the more experienced team at CC.
I neither chuckle or scoff! Love me some comments. Keep them coming! – Rusty
