50 Years of Spider-Man!

As you might know, Amazing Fantasy #15 — the first appearance of Spider-Man — is dated August 1962, which makes this month the 50th anniversary of the one and only wall crawler! And Marvel has been celebrating the half-century mark in style with several special releases. You might have already seen Point One titles like: Peter Parker Spider-Man #156.1, Sensational Spider-Man #33.1 and 33.2, and Web of Spider-Man #129.1! And if you didn’t see them, come on by the store!

This week sees what it arguably the biggest of the anniversary issues in Amazing Spider-Man #692! Much has been reported about this one over the last couple of days, mainly that it’s the 50th anniversay of Spider-Man and it’s a big freakin’ deal! But also, it’s been reported that Spidey gets himself a sidekick in this issue! Will it make for an interesting update to one of comicdom’s most beloved characters? We’ll have to read it and find out!
