Highlights for Wednesday, July 25: Everything Else

Manhattan Projects #5The Everything Else category is a little on the lighter side this week, but never you fear! We’ve still got several titles to talk about today, starting with Image Comics and Manhattan Projects #5. As we’ve said before, this series has been a wild ride (as most comics written by Jonathan Hickman are), but if you like science fiction with an extra dose of the crazy, you need to check this one out!

"HORIZON"

A glimpse into the NEW FUTURE that the scientists of the Manhattan Projects have built on the foundation of their amazing breakthroughs. They’ve changed the world… is it for better or for worse?

The thrilling FEEL GOOD, BAD SCIENCE series continues in THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS #5: HORIZON!

Meanwhile, IDW Publishing has several of its pop culture property comics hitting the stands. Look for Ghostbusters #11, Godzilla #3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #12 and Transformers More Than Meets the Eye #7!

Moving over to Dark Horse, look for one of this writer’s favorite comics with Goon #40! Which sounds like it’s gonna be a flashback issue, with a glimpse of the Goon’s teenage days. When Prohibition was going on, Goon used to hot-rod moonshine past the law for fun and profit. That is, until he ran into a gang of gearhead rockabilly ghouls out for blood!

Angel & Faith #12Finally, there’s Angel and Faith #12. The last issue (which we still have in stock) marked the beginning of the "Family Reunion" story arc. In his nominees post, Rusty called it the best issue of the series so far! "Willow is back. Gunn is back. Connor is back. And they are off to the alien world, Quor’thoth, where Connor grew up."

ANGEL & FAITH #12
DARK HORSE COMICS

Written by Christos N. Gage
Art by Rebekah Isaacs

Using remnants of magic, Angel, Faith, Willow, and Connor have entered the hell dimension where no one should-or really, could-dare go: Quor-Toth! Willow’s quest to restore magic to Earth was her objective in attempting the impossible; Angel’s objective was . . . something else. And Faith? She’s along to make sure that everyone’s feet stay on the ground, and out of anything they might regret.
