Highlights for Wednesday, July 11: Everything Else

It’s gonna be a solid week in the Everything Else department! (As already evidenced by Poyo!) In particular, Dark Horse Comics is coming out strong with three or four titles that we’re very happy about. We’ll start with The Massive #2, the second issue of Brian Wood’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi series. The first issue was very intriguing, so we’ll have to see where it goers from here.

Also from Dark Horse this week, we’ve got two legendary horror series coming your way with Eerie Comics #1 and Creepy Comics #9! Uncle Creepy’s been having all the fun in Dark Horse’s revival of classic Warren magazines, and now Cousin Eerie’s getting in on the action, too! The terrifying treasuries of sinister sci-fi and fearsome fantasy return with all-new stories to thrill and chill!

Finally, as far as Dark Horse is concerned, there are store favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 Freefall #11 and Conan the Barbarian #6! We’ve recommended both series from the jump and we proudly continue to do so.

We’re also curious about The Crow #1 from IDW. The spirit of the Crow is back, transfiguring Jamie Osterberg, an American studying in Tokyo and deeply in love with his Japanese girlfriend, Yumi… until the love of his life is stolen. The Crow must once more make the wrong thing right, but this time he might have to do it by killing his own true love!

Next up, Valiant comes in strong with two titles! Look for both Harbinger #2 and Bloodshot #1! So far, we’ve liked just about everything we’ve seen from the Valiant relaunch and we’re thinking Bloodshot is going to keep that trend going!
