We’ll give Marvel the lead this week with Astonishing X-Men #51! It’s a wedding issue! As Alpha Flight member Northstar will be marrying his longtime boyfriend Kyle. Elsewhere at Marvel, we’ve reached the halfway point of the event of the summer with Avengers vs X-Men #6 (of 12)! Plus, Daredevil #14, Dark Avengers #176, Journey into Mystery #640, New Avengers #27, Uncanny X-Men #14, Winter Soldier #7 and more! A huge week for the House of Ideas!
Over at DC, we’re set to get arguably the most anticipated of the Before Watchmen mini-series: The Comedian by Brian Azzarello! We fully expect it to be off the meter, in more ways than one. Plus, there’s Batman Beyond Unlimited #5, Fables #118, Supergirl #10 and a whole slew of Batman family books: Batwoman #10, Catwoman #10, Nightwiong #10, Red Hood and the Outlaws #10 and Birds of Prey #10!
Even though we’ve already read it, we’re also stoked about Chew #27 2nd Helping Edition, another printing of the issue that came out last year, well before its time! And we can’t not mention Saga #4. It’s one of the hottest series in comics and we can’t wait to see where it goes.

It’s the second week in our monthly Looking Forward cycle, which must mean that it’s time to check out the DC Comics releases lined up for two months from now. There’s obviously plenty more set to come out from DC that month, but these are the comics and hardcovers and TPBs that really caught our eye. So let’s hit it!
