Having already posted Geoff Johns’ Green Lantern run, we thought we’d post the Green Lantern Corps TPBs, initially written by Dave Gibbons but ultimately taken over by Peter Tomasi.  The big release this week is without a doubt Before Watchmen: Minutemen #1 (of 6)! It’s the first of the Watchmen prequels, which might be one of the most talked about and controversial events of the year! Also from DC, look for Action Comics #10, Detective Comics #10, Stormwatch #10 and Animal Man #10. Plus, from the Second Wave of New 52 titles there’s Earth 2 #2 and World’s Finest #2. And over at Vertigo, Dial H #2, Fairest #4 and DMZ Vol. 12 TP! Not a bad week at all for DC.
No real big releases for Marvel this week… OH WAIT YES THERE ARE. Avengers vs. X-Men #5 (of 12)! Marvel’s event of the year — which earned a nice spot in the Top Twenty — rolls on. Plus, there’s Dark Avengers #175, which takes over where Thunderbolts left off. Also, Uncanny X-Men #13, Winter Soldier #6, Journey into Mystery #639, Fury Max #3, Age of Apocalypse #4 and more!
Looks like a solid week for Image as we’re set to get Thief of Thieves #5, Spawn #220, Secret #2, Super Dinosaur #11 and Walking Dead Vol. 16 TP (not to mention the softcover edition of the Rise of the Governor novel)!
