This week looks to be a very interesting week for comics! We’ll start with Marvel and Secret Service #1 (of 7), a new series from writer Mark Millar and legendary Watchmen artist Dave Gibbons! Also look for Mighty Thor #12.1, obviously a good place to jump on, and Journey into Mystery #636, consistently one of our favorite titles. Plus, there’s Avengers Assemble #2, New Avengers #24 (an AVX tie-in), Uncanny X-Men #10, Wolverine #304, Winter Soldier #4 and more!
And, as a segue from Marvel to DC, look for new animated series from both publishers in the form of Marvel Universe Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes #1 and Green Lantern The Animated Series #1!
As for DC, it looks like a solid week for the Bat-books as we’re set to get Batman: Arkham Unhinged #1, a new series based on the Arkham City video game, Batman and Robin #8, Batgirl #8, Batwoman #8, and the second volume of new editions of Batman: No Man’s Land. Also, Shade #7 (of 12), Saucer Country #2, Green Lantern #8, Superboy #8 and Unwritten #36!
For the second week in a row, Image has a solid week lined up as well! Starting with Saga #2, the first issue of which was very strong, Thief of Thieves #3, America’s Got Powers #1 (pictured, from writer/Brit talk show host Jonathan Ross), Secret #1 (from writer Jonathan Hickman), and the trade paperback of Strange Talent of Luther Strode!
Throw in Conan the Barbarian #3, Cobra Ongoing #12, Bionic Woman #1 and Crossed Badlands #3 for a darn good week!

It’s time once again to begin our monthly foray into the comics we’re excited about down the road! These are the early indicators for the titles that might eventually find their way into our
James Robinson and Philip Tan will be teaming up together for the six-issue mini-series Masters of the Universe. This will be a He-Man re-imaging under DC Comics that has Skeletor having taken over Eternia and the heroes that once stood against him having no knowledge of who they once were. Sounds interesting, but not as interesting as having Robinson and Tan be the ones to make this happen! Look for it in July.
