A little bit of bad news for you today, readers. This will be my last column… for two weeks. I’ll be out of town next week and sadly won’t be able to write up the Best Covers for you. But don’t worry! The memory of this week’s column will still be in your heart. And plus you’ll have more important things on your mind: like the Bonus Sale this Saturday! The Ravens game on Sunday! The joy of going back to work on Monday! All of these things will ease your pain. But for now, let’s live in the moment. I give you this week’s covers.

If you’ll recall (and I know you will), I led off last week’s column with some thoughts about the strange weather. It’s just too bad this issue of Avengers didn’t come out last week because that would have been a really smooth segue! Or a really ham-handed one, depending on how you look at it. Most of the time this column is a little on the hammy side. In fact, our favorite dish at Denny’s is Moons Over My Hammy.
