One thing you might not know about the crew here at Cosmic Comix is, we never rest. We are always at our workstations, putting in the time and putting in the work. And it all goes to improving YOUR comic book experience! We do it all for you, readers. Like Bryan Adams said in his hit song from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, everything we do, we do it for you.

And that is my way of introducing — if you hadn’t noticed it already by virtue of the "soft rollout" last Friday — the new Cosmic Comix website banner! It’s a bold and different look for the site and we’re still in the process of tweaking it, a nip here and a tuck there, but we wanted to just get it out there all the same. What do you think? And if you’re wondering, like CCX columnist David Lee who asked me yesterday, "Why is the squid in a spacesuit?" All I can say is this: have you ever seen a squid NOT in a spacesuit??

Bombs awaaaay! Man, this cover just reeks of Captain America, doesn’t it? Those bombs look like they came right out of a World War II B-29 bomber! And so does this cover, honestly. All that’s missing is a little burst that says, "How is Cap going to escape the chains of… THE MAD BOMBER?!"

And then of course on the back cover you’d find either A) an ad for Charles Atlas bodybuilding (you wimp), B) the opportunity to make loads of money selling products, or C) safety tips from the fine folks at Juicy Fruit gum. I’ve been looking at a lot of old comics recently.
