Though last week saw the release of the main title in Fear Itself #6, this week we’re set to get SEVEN Fear Itself tie-in books! It’s easily been the biggest Marvel event of the year, and honestly probably the best. The main title is the best selling book in the store! Anyway, here’s what we’re getting this week:

Avengers, Iron Man and Uncanny X-Men plus four of the mini-series! In Uncanny, look out for Colossus, who has made a deal that gives him the powers of Juggernaut, in order to stop the REAL Juggernaut who is hammered up! Over in Avengers, Brian Michael Bendis will be doing his thing with John Romita Jr. Expect destruction a la Blitzkrieg USA and plenty of talking! (You might remember that Mr. Bendis’ New Avengers #16 from last week took the Best Book of the Week prize.) Finally, in Invincible Iron Man, Tony isn’t even on planet Earth! He just jumped into a steaming pot of Uru over in Svartalfheim. Say THAT five times fast!
Anyway, awesome week for Marvel and Fear Itself!
Tony Daniel’s Detective Comics #1, which came out a couple weeks ago, was a fantastic start for the Batman family of books. This week, we’re stoked about getting the second of the two key Batman titles in Batman #1, from writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo! This is one we’ve definitely been anxiously awaiting, as Mr. Snyder’s run on Detective Comics, which wrapped up just before the New 52, was one of the best Batman stories we’ve read. Can’t wait!
