So you saw the Green Lantern movie recently and want to get in on some comics. I’ve got some good news and some bad news for you. The bad news is, you missed our Green Lantern Whiz Bang a couple weeks ago, which featured TPBs at 40% off. The good news is, there have been several Green Lantern movie tie-in comics to come out — featuring the likes of Abin Sur, Kilowog and Tomar-Re, all of which are in stock — and this week we get the big one:

So it’s a good week for old Hal "Highball" Jordan. From electric body suit-type Green Lantern uniform to US military issue flight jacket, he’s looking pretty good.

DC Comics’ Green Lantern Movie Prequel: Hal Jordan and Flashpoint: Hal Jordan both come in on Wednesday!

Regular visitors to both the store and the website know how much we enjoy Robert Kirkman’s zombie epic The Walking Dead. Especially recently, as something quite shocking happened to Rick’s son Carl and we’ve all been anxiously awaiting the resolution to that particular event.

Unfortunately, the solicitation to the issue that comes out tomorrow, THE WALKING DEAD #86, says only this: How do we deal with what comes next? So that’s not very much help. Doesn’t matter, though. We’ll be reading it with great relish.

Also worth noting that the Walking Dead Vol. 14 TP came out just last week, collecting issues #79-84, only two short of this week’s issue!

Finally, we wanted to give both Image and Walking Dead some credit. The two most recent issues have both included a second full comic as a flip book! Last issue came with Witch Doctor #0 on the flip side (and issue #1 of that series comes out this week) and this week’s Walking Dead comes with Elephantmen: Man and Elephantman #1! Just a cool thing for them to do.
