Uncanny X-Force #8
Easy pick for me this week cause UNCANNY X-FORCE #8 was fantastic.
Basically a one issue one shot dealing with the Shadow King. And what I loved most about it was it was an entire story arc condensed into one issue! Introduced the Shadow King at the beginning and defeated the Shadow King at the end. Thought the issue was going to end with a cliffhanger on multiple occasions but it just kept going and going and the story came full circle…in only one issue!
And in the age of decompressed story telling that we live in today, that is a rare occurrence. Especially in a Marvel superhero book. Uncanny X-Force began with a four issue arc introducing Apocalypse. Followed up with a three issue arc about Deathlok. And now a one shot. Props to Rick Remender and his X-Force team for keeping the story rolling. Love the pace!
Plus there is an underlying story to it all. Obviously Apocalypse is playing a major roll. Haven’t seen the last of him yet. Fantomex took center stage in the Deathlok arc. Now it looks like Archangel will be the focus. And it all ties together.
Pace. Action. Art. Story. X-Force has it all. Now if someone will just take out Deathlok everything will be perfect. – See ya! Rusty

I concur captain.
Captain, heck then I’m the General, but I agree, could have won on other weeks, but an easy winner this week.
Wait, was Deathlok in this issue? He’s the only reason I picked up issues 5-7.
He was. First 3 or 4 pages and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s in issue #9 as well. – Rusty
It seems like he’ll be around for a while, at least until the whole Fantomex/world thing is resolved.
