Someone is gonna die!

Andy did indeed scoop me again! It will actually happen quite often. The Whiz Bang is too awesome for any one man! And this week’s Whiz Bang is… dare I say it… oh… go ahead and say it… Fantastic!

You may or may not heard but with the release of FANTASTIC FOUR #587 this Wednesday one of the members of the Fantastic Four is going to die. Yes. Someone is going to die. And we don’t know who. It’s a mystery. It’s even shipping in a black poly bag!

And cause a character dying in a comic book is such a rare occurrence, I thought we should commemorate the occasion with those $10.00 HC’s Andy was talking about! Good comics. Great price. Read ‘em up!

Now who will die? Mr. Fantastic? Mrs. Fantastic? Brother Fantastic? Orange Fantastic? Let’s put it to a vote! Who do you think will die? Who do you want to die?

Personally, I’m rooting for Reed Richards to bite the dust. No offense to Reed. Just seems to make the most sense to me, especially if you’ve read those HC’s we mentioned. Of course, that’s also a sometime rare occurrence in comics, sense, so we shall see. On Wednesday!

Obviously FANTASTIC FOUR #587 Is not the only comic coming out on Wednesday. Marvel is just loaded this week. I counted twenty-three legitimate titles on the list.

And the book I am probably most interested in this week is AGE OF X ALPHA #1. Been hearing about it for awhile. Lots of hype surrounding it. It’s highlighted. Here’s the last page of X-MEN LEGACY #244 which leads directly into Age of X.

Seems to be an alternate earth/universe/dimension story which is good. Anything goes! Hope they have some fun with it. And they are also saying that something will happen in this alternate earth/universe/dimension that will have lasting repercussions which is also a good thing. And X-Men Legacy and New Mutants are the only books affected by the storyline which is also a good thing. So Age of X definitely has some positives to it going in. Now we just gotta read it!

Having said all that. Don’t be surprised if DETECTIVE COMICS #873 turns out to be the Best Book of the Week next week!
